Still riding high off the success of 'Whip My Hair,' and her latest '21 Century Girl,' singerWillow Smith is taking her act to the White House. The 10-year-old pop singer has been tapped to perform at the 133rd annual White House Easter Egg Roll, in front of 30,000 invited guests.
Smith will join the likes of Grammy winner Colbie Caillat and Internet sensation Grayson Chance as performers on the bill, while morning show host Kelly Ripa and her husband Marc Consuelos will read to an audience of children, after the annual Easter Egg Hunt. The story time section will also be broadcast live on the White House website.
This year's theme is 'Get Up and Go!' which promotes health and wellness by encouraging young children to lead active lives. The theme is a central part of First Lady Michelle Obama's national Lets Move! initiative, which works to help combat childhood obesity and recently tapped Beyonce for a series of workout videos.
An estimated 14,500 dyed, hard-boiled eggs will be used for the egg hunt and egg roll, while an additional 50,000 eggs made of sustainable American wood will be passed out to the children as souvenirs.
The annual Easter egg hunt will be held on the South Lawn and will extend its hours this year, starting at 7:30AM and ending at 6:20PM on Monday, April 25.
